Below is a collection of the questions most frequently asked to our staff and resellers about our software products and services.  If you have a general question that is not answered here, please submit it and we will glad to post it on this Q&A in the near future. 1.  What is WILDLIFEPRO®? WILDLIFEPRO is the legally registered (®) trade name of our scalable technology for the Wildlife Control Industry.  Currently, it contains 12 solutions that are engineered for handling the needs of most organizations.  From a single man operation to multi-franchise enterprise to governmental agencies, our solutions have been tailored from scratch and are solely designed to computerize and optimize each organization based on its size and specific needs.  Technically speaking, they are a large collection of relational databases (10 to 30 !!!) and custom coding that are all together highly integrated. 2.  What do you mean by scalable ? The WILDLIFEPRO products are designed to be modular.  Each product contains a certain number of integrated "centers" (i.e. databases).  However at any time you can add-on easily new "centers" as your organization grows or as the benefits for automation surpass the long hours spent by yourself or your staff dealing with manually doing paperwork, entering ten times the information in ten different places, or looking for that old invoice to check what guarantee you gave or what was the results of all of your recalls for this specific job, etc, etc.... ;-) 3.  We use an Office suite, and we are getting along.  Why should I switch to WILDLIFEPRO ? It has been proven -- and written up in several reputable computer publications -- that 80 percent of the users of an Office suite use only 20 percent of its functions.  Why ?!  Simply because not a lot of people want to or can spend the time learning about Excel's macros or Word's merging capabilities.  As such, you are limited to what you can do with that technology.  At Infosoft Corporation, we have observed for years what the average user really needs.  We have designed from the bottom up a series of software products that not only is usable 100 percent by the end-user because they have been designed only for what they do on a daily basis, but also the end-user finally has a very small learning curve and is able to enjoy the power of such software extremely rapidly and in its full range, which is dozens of times greater than any Office suite feature somewhat adapted or tweaked to your operation. Moreover, WILDLIFEPRO is fundamentally a complete business management software tailored to optimize your specific operation, automate your daily tasks, save you time and affect positively your bottom line immediately. 4.  We have data in an old database.  Do we have to re-enter everything in a WILDLIFEPRO solution or can we import it directly ? Each case is different, but most likely your old data is safe.  We are experts in data and information systems and most likely we will find a way to make it happen. Moreover, if we can somehow export your information in any of the following formats, you will then be able to import it directly back into any of the Wildlifepro products: Data: .txt, .csv, .dbf, .xls, .xlw, .tab, .bas, .cwk, .cws, .dif, .slk, .wk1, .wks, .fp3, .fm, .mer Multimedia: .cgm, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .tif, .pcx, .wmf, .drw, .pic, .sld, .pct, .mac, .eps, .mov, .wav 5.  Which operating system is compatible with the WILDLIFEPRO solutions ? At this time, the WILDLIFEPRO products are supported on the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Me, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, All Microsoft Windows XP -- and for our custom Web Series -- any Unix platforms. 6.  Which network protocol is compatible with WILDLIFEPRO ? TCP/IP and IPX/SPX are the network protocols compatible with the WILDLIFEPRO network-ready solutions.  However, we recommend the TCP/IP network protocol with allocation of private static IP for each workstation for optimum performance. 7.  I have a network printer with multiple trays.  Do you support such technology ? Absolutely.  In fact, we can usually highly automate such network printers with multiple trays.  You can therefore print for instance your invoices via one tray, and print your marketing campaign or your reports via another one, all this in a fully automated environment. 8.  I only have a small inkjet printer.  Will this be sufficient ? Since all letters, invoices, reports, worksheets, marketing broadcasts, are all automatically embedded within some of the WILDLIFEPRO software, you need a printer that has enough memory and good to excellent output quality to benefit fully of these great features.  We usually recommend a good quality laser printer capable of printing at 600dpi or above for adequate results. Two additional benefits related to such printer is the fact that all logos, letterheads, including invoices, are inside of the software already ! Therefore, by printing them directly on regular paper, you will save you a lot of money from your current custom pre-printed paper expenditures !  As well, a small inkjet printer is definitely not the right tool for a busy office.  By combining the power of a WILDLIFEPRO solution with a 17 or 24 pages per minutes laser printer, your office will be extremely productive ! 9.  Are the Wildlifepro products Year-2000 (Y2K) compliant ? Yes, to the best of our knowledge, all Wildlifepro products are Year-2000 compliant in accordance with international industry standards and as per the manufacturers of the core computer and networking products and languages used by Infosoft to engineer, compile, and produce the Wildlifepro software. Unless otherwise noted, the Wildlifepro products will rely on the date format supplied by the operating system. All Wildlifepro software use the date algorithms of the Windows operating system and will take advantage of future changes to these operating systems.  For current information about year 2000 issues regarding such operating system, we highly recommend that you contact Microsoft Corporation (http://www.microsoft.com/) directly for more information and to update your operating system with the latest patches and upgrades available. Please note that Infosoft, like all other accredited software vendors, will not be providing any contractual warranties specific to the year 2000 issues.  If any Wildlifepro update needs to be provided to accommodate newly identified issues, the update will be provided by Infosoft at no charge. As of January 08, 2000, all Wildlifepro current installations in North America have passed successfully the Y2K challenge. As with other software products which are extremely complex to develop and which provide a broad set of features and functionality, additional issues are occasionally brought to our attention from customers and through additional internal testing.  If additional Year 2000 issues come to our attention, we will continue to update our customers and make this information available in an extremely prompt manner.  For further reference, please be aware that all warranties are set forth in the End User License Agreement that accompany the Wildlifepro products and customers should read these warranties to understand their rights. Please also note that -- although we have tested both formats with success -- Infosoft is joining several key manufacturers in the Computer Industry to advise users to properly enter date-related or date-sensitive data in any database or spreadsheet as a four-digit year date entry for added safety and appropriate compliancy. (For example, 2/22/99 for February 22nd, 1999 would be considered a two-digit year date.  Entering the data as 2/22/1999 would be a four-digit year date.) 10.  I understand that any of the WILDLIFEPRO software products for NWCOs will automate my operation and that the technology will highly integrate all office tasks, generate new marketing campaigns, allow closer monitoring and powerful management of my business, etc, etc...... but have you been able to come up with a dollar figure for the direct reduction of cost in my business by implementing this software  ? Each business is different... and obviously, Infosoft Corporation could not tell you that you are going to save thousands of dollars, if in the first place the business is not "cost-minded" or "cost-efficient".  However, we have analyzed a business with an average of 2 full-time phone consultants and an average of 3.5 trucks on the road over a six-month period.  In direct savings to the operating cost, the business saved over $ 3,000.00 a month (over $ 36,000.00 a year) by only automating with the WILDLIFEPRO technology the daily manual labor previously performed by the staff.
